Personally, I disagree or more specifically do not see it as any more fine than it would be to ATH or IST. Ultimately, one can of course survive on sandwiches, cakes etc but it is neither pleasant nor healthy, and it is not what I personally expect from a full service airline on long flights of about 4 hours.

Note that airlines like AF now re-offer tray service on flights half that length in Y (without local exceptions) and even AZ above 3 hours. The "local caterer" excuse is lame too as there are local caterers able to provide full meals.
