Turkish as *G or Emirates

Hi all, first time with the option to fly Turkish and trying to decide between this and Emirates. Flying SFO-DUR and both Turkish and Emirates have a stop (IST or DXB, respectively). I typically fly United and would credit the miles there, but I am not sure whether I will earn PQD yet. Cost is covered by the company, so I've been thinking through pros/cons of each.

Turkish:
+ miles that I'm more likely to use (potentially also PQD)
+ *G lounge access
+ Layover should be long enough for Touristanbul
- I hear comfort class is no longer around?
- Not sure how hard/soft product compares to Emirates

Emirates:
+ Get to fly new A380 (would be a first)
+ Should also have lounge access through Priority pass
+ Have had good experiences with Emirates in the past
- Unlikely to use the miles earned
- One extra stop in JNB on departure leg

If anyone has experiences riding both airlines and would be able to share, that would be helpful!

Edit: Forgot to add, I'll be in econ (not sure which fare class yet) for all of the segments.
