I don't think I've ever seen ITA data out of date. A more common occurrence is the fare that it show has restrictions on whose ticket stock the itinerary can be ticketed on, so when you price it out on another carrier, it finds a higher fare without the restriction.
Perhaps I am not understanding the situation correctly but here it is:
I am looking at 2 itineraries involving the same origin, destination and connecting airports, same carriers, even same dates. Just different flights.
For one itinerary, the price found by the OTA links is same as that shown by ITA.
For the other, the OTA prices are significantly higher than ITA (so we are not talking about an OTA tacking on a $20 fee).
This situation has not changed for days. Not sure how to interpret this. (I have tried emptying cache, changing browsers, etc., all the usual stuff.)
