Reviving this thread, as I have 2 questions about paid transfers:
1) Looking at this table, which is still accurate:

It would make no sense to transfer Avios in blocks of more than 6'000. Or am I missing something?
For example, if I had 7'000 Avios to transfer, I would transfer 6'000 + 1'000 at CHF 90 total (2x45), rather than all 7'000 in one transaction at CHF 110. Doesn't make sense.
2) Does transferring Avios extend their validity? I assume it does, can someone confirm this?
