No, that was prior to travel. I was offered either refund of change without fee. the ticket was originally issued by a TA ticket so it was more simple to just rebook when I was ready. Moreover there was another flight on the same ticket (open jaw ticket) and just cancelling the flight that I was unable to take made my life easier too. As it happens, the day after I called BA, the flight was in any event cancelled so it would in fact have been better for me not to call BA at all. But it was not a huge issue in any event and the fact that BA was accommodating was a nice thing in itself even if I ended up not using the opportunity to reschedule the segment that they gave me.

I must say that all the airlines I dealt with were all very understanding: I had also booked a ticket to Hong Kong for my Mum using AA miles and a commercial ticket from Cathay for myself to accompany her and both of them also reimbursed without charging any cancellation fee.
Hmmmmm sounds like somebody made a mistake then because we cant apply policies to travel agency bookings pre travel....you would be referred to travel agent for changes.

We could apply policy/change a travel agent booking mid travel.
