If this is paid ticket, CX can rebook you one of the one stop flights via SGN or HAN later in the afternoon. CX and VN codeshares and possibly has interline agreements.

If they can't rebook you on a flight that you agree on, they will have to put you up in a hotel in HKG with food vouchers too.

It is not ideal, but don't stress too much about it.
