There is little to no lodging around the Gorge and it is 2.5-3 hours from Seattle. Makes for a long drive after a 7 hour festival
but worth it because of the views. Having seen a couple of shows there and seen many more at Red Rocks, I would have to vote Red Rocks as the better venue. Don't get me wrong, the Gorge is a close second, but nothing can beat a good band on the rocks in the summer.....
