Problem is my onward flight to DAD departs 07:55 (and that's the only daily flight). Should I rebook myself on tonight's LAX-HKG flight? If so, should I contact AA or CX to change this award?

Update: CX agent tells me the inbound flight is arriving 23:50! - She says it's possible to turn around in 1 hr.
