Down the back I found the overall product unremarkable. The crew were mostly Brits, aircraft and IFE were showing their age, rations were small and the breakfast 'eggs' were vile. Having flown BA, QR, MH and EK in recent weeks, I wouldn't rush back to QF but I wouldn't necessarily avoid. Upper deck Y on the A380 is a nice option though, if available.
I got the LON-BKK return for around 500 quid, which got me back to the UAE, a few days break in BKK, and a spare DXB-LON in my back pocket, for much less than any other combination of TP earning fares/carriers.
