Anyway, I'd say Q39 is the best upscaleish bbq in town.
Jack Stack is a pleasant experience and quite good food:
when the burnt ends are nice and fatty, they are among
the best I've had. Be forewarned, though, that the term
"burnt ends" has undergone quite a metamorphosis - you
can even get ham "burnt ends" or even turkey some places.
As far as airport bbq goes, my advice would be "just say
no," but then when I've got the Q DTs, sometimes I don't
follow my own advice. I have had tolerable brisket at
Salt Lick at the airport, but never approaching goodness
of any level.
