Coming from London from whence calling New York airports bad is akin to pots calling kettles black, to me it is which will turn into a mess less badly. Fran. kly there's not much to choose between them. LGA is hell to reach and so badly overcrowded that I would rule that out. EWR is easily reached and never seems as far as JFK - that said I would probably go for JFK as I'm more concerned about getting to my destination than which seats are on which aircraft. AA could change the aircraft and configuration 40 times by the time that you want to travel.
