I flew into LHR from somewhere in Europe in CE where for some reason they only seemed to have yellow F tags.

I arrived at LHR and found my bag with yellow F tag, along with others with yellow F tags, all came out together first before any other bags.

In my experience LHR priority baggage handling rarely works, certainly from Europe (is priority baggage handling even part of the CE product?).

I thought LHR baggage handling was automated but was this a coincidence that the bags were tagged in yellow rather than the usual orange for short haul and they were handled properly as priority baggage?

Obviously I am not complaining but just curious about this somewhat 'unusual' experience'.
