I am looking at something similar now. Sucks that the cities are so limited. But AMS might actual work out as there is a cruise leaving from there July 3rd, so I could so SFO-LHR-AMS (or via ORD), AARP discount, 30,000 AVIOS to get $450 off. Fly in June 30, fly back to LHR on the 1st, back to AMS on the 2nd, then return after the cruise.
