This reminds me of a trip to DXB in J a few years back. Plenty of snow at Heathrow and connecting from Edinburgh so we missed the connection but happily put on the later flight. But then our bags didn't arrive. Had a day trip to BAH just a few hours later and had to wear my colleagues shirt and he was several sizes larger than me...

The bags did come about 3 days later into a 4 day business trip. And then, to top it all, when I got home they promptly delivered someone else's bag to my home address! This bag was clearly labelled with the owner's actual address and phone number so I was able to call them and let them know.

Think that earned me a modest new wardrobe and something like 20k Avios (or Exec club points as they then were). And since then I always travel hand baggage only for work :-)
