On December 26th I will be traveling with my two daughters 5 and 8 to Germany. We have a six hour layover in EWR and I thought to use the time to visit Liberty State park. We will be in ERW at 12:30 PM and leaving at 6:20 PM. Assuming everything is on time, I think we would be able to be at the park about 1:30. I'd like to leave no later than 4 PM. That leaves us 2.5 hours to potentially visit Ellis Island and/or the actual Statue.

Looking at the schedule here https://www.statuecruises.com/depart...?day=5_11_2016 it seems that we could catch the Ferry leaving Liberty Park at 1:20 PM or 2 PM and then catch a return from Liberty Island at 2:40 or 3:25 PM. Worst case scenario we would leave Liberty Park at 2 PM & catch the return at 3:25 PM. This gives us only about 45 minutes on the Island.

Can this be reasonably done weather permitting?
