I think we are on the same page. But seems that most people will keep their opinion for themselves unless they are on the receiving side of that behaviour.
If the person on the receiving side of that behavior does not complain or do anything about it, why should you?
I'd go ballistic if someone came even close to hitting me in the head with a bare foot but I wouldn't intervene if this was happening to someone else who was not disturbed enough to do something about it.
