I just saw the email for silver status good through January 2017. Haven't flown with UA at all this year and last year was only a few flights in cheap F fare classes. I might take them up on a flight or two since they're up to eight non-stops a day to SFO from BOS. Yikes, but only two to LAX. At least they're trying...
