I've booked a six-night GLONP award stay at the Paris Hilton. (This'll be my first time in a chain hotel in Paris....the others have all been more typical, smallish, non-chain, mom-and-pop type places.) With my Diamond status, I was able to get them to override the award blackout dates in early July.

So, should I try to get a room with a view of the feux d'artifices? Would I be able to watch them from my room without necessarily having to join the crowds on the ground?

P.S.: I know I should post this question on the Hilton forum. Maybe I will.

Never been there in July so I have no idea what, if any, festivities you can see, but you should definitely get a room in the front of the hotel for the Eiffel tower view.

And, congratulations on getting the award in July.
