Kathy, We need to bump this thread up in about a month and a half and I'll be able to provide some links (hopefully!) to some of the other activities that will be taking place on the 13th and 14th.

Some of the funnest events to attend are the Bals des Pompiers, which are all night dance parties hosted by some of the neighborhood fire stations and their dashing young firemen (firefighters in Paris have historically been mostly comprised of young men fullfilling their military service, so the average age is 22-26). Folks of all ages and persuasions line up for the chance to share a dance and a drink with these men ...
