SLC is sprawling and I've had 3 connections there airbus to CRJ, either E to C or B to D (a lot of CJRs come to B). 30 minutes is only comfortable if your first leg is early, else it's a jog. FWIW: My MSP/SLC flights have recently used D, and before that C.

Rant: Since Delta dropped the MSP<>ABQ nonstops, the SLC (or ATL!) connections offered just suck. Southwest thru either DEN or MCI is so much easier, just steps to transfer, as well as being quicker and no CRJ.
