BobBHX there is not much you can do since you have a contract with QR to 'fly from A to B' not 'fly on a particular aircraft type from A to B'.

If you have been following this forum then you will have seen the list of timetable changes/equipment swaps that have been announced due to delayed deliveries of new aircraft.

There have been numerous warnings on the forum during recent months about choosing a flight because of the aircraft type.

If you look at the revised timetable then you will see that there is still one A380 rotation per day. If you wish to gamble on getting a seat, and upgrade, on those flights then the change conditions for rewards are much less strict than for revenue tickets.
