I fully appreciate that, and I am really sorry for being coy. I just don't really know to what extent rules were bent for me, and what view their employer takes of their outcome. But if they are reading this, the employees I encountered today did a lot for strengthening my loyalty to BA.
All I am going to say on this matter is that I am very pleased you were assisted and helped by my colleagues in this very stressful situation. Whilst it was not "our" fault for once that you missed your flight it is great to hear that you are dealt with empathy and support.
I am so happy you got home ok and didn't encounter any technalities and subsequent trouble. That's what it should be like in the perfect world and I am glad they all could deliver what you (didn't) expect without any problems.
