I can't say I consider it low ball or scummy per se to have roadside advertising - do others actually feel that? A better analogy would be driving on a road, and suddenly your presumed switched off radio plays an ad and you have to switch your attention from driving to go into your car radio settings and flip a switch.
Personally, I haven't received any marketing push notifications but even if I did, I wouldn't be so annoyed by it that it required a FT post
