Where is the rule about not adding companions to the upgrade list after D-3 hours? I add companions all the time. In addition, all gate agents have been trained (or should have) on how to add customers and their companions to the Delta Comfort+ upgrade list at the airport. Time of ticketing won't be noticed, and nothing about that has been mentioned.
