I do like your review, but honestly not much has changed in terms of F&B. I've stayed in 2010, 2011 and 2013. Also visited afterwards while on a friend's yacht in FP.

There's nothing inspired about the concept. I wish they would start over again. It is hard in that part of the world, but when you had great resort cuisine in the past, FS Bora Bora is not there yet.

The whole 'build your own salad / steak / burger' thing they're pushing so boldly is just non-sense. Who wants that? If I want that I can order off menu. Or drive through McDonalds.

Just by nature of the whole resort, IRD is a huge part of the dinner service. More than at any other resort, people order IRD for dinner there - and I find exactly this menu very lacking. Many guests of the beachfront villas are not exactly content with the current offering - many of them hardly leave the villas, god half of L.A. has been in them.

Still hope they do something about it. They should send the talented Quentin Garreau de Labarre from FSGV there for a year and it would work like a charm. @:-)

Edit: Some more thoughts on FS Bora Bora:

- Since April 1st, 2016 the Beachfront Villas are on an All-Inclusive Basis, with all meals included. God knows why.
- They have added some more inclusions, which are welcome (such as private bar stocking, spa credit, beach BBQs, tours) - actually all things that you were able to negotiate before anyway. Or management gave as a gift.
- The golf course Thierry Barbion planned has never been built
- Likewise, the Private Residences that they tried to sell so aggressively were either never built and/or never sold? It is a bit too remote for my taste and I am a huge fan of Bora Bora.
