We will be going to Hong Kong (myself, my wife, and our 8 yr old daughter) purely for pleasure -sightseeing, and shopping. Easy and convenient access to the subway/metro is one of the things we would prefer, as a "benefit" of the hotel which we are staying at.

It seems that the New World Renaissance and the Sheraton are similar, if one is location - one is across the street from the other - so there should be no major difference in location between the 2.

In terms of other features of the hotel - the quality and luxuriousness of the hotel would be of higher priority than the type of view. One of the features I am wondering about - is the size of the rooms in these hotels (New World Rennaisance, vs Sheraton) - is the size of the basic room, and also amenities in the room.
