Will be in HK in April. Am just trying to exploit the rather weak exchange rate at the moment and wanted some advice.

One option is to pre-pay the hotel - they're happy for us to do this. The other is to buy the money now & sit on it.

Because i'm going via Thailand, I don't really want to be carrying US$2k in cash, so had thought about getting US$ TC's - what sort of premium would I expect to pay if converting in HK?

Alternatively, does anyone know of a UK issuer of HK$ TC's?
