Agreed, it's annoying. I usually will block the worst ones (TV, it seems) with some paper or a small towel. It's the under-the-door from the hallway light that can be the worst when the door has an inch of clearance over the threshhold.

I thought this thread might be about the W Ft. Lauderdale, where the wall of the bathroom is glass and if your partner visits the toilet during the night and turns the light on the whole bedroom is bathed in light. Now *that* stinks
