I normally give my BXP1 certs away as thank yous, but recently started redeeming them for my own travel as well. On my last two flights I experienced something unusual with my mileage earning.

In mid-April I redeemed a BXP1 for LAS-JFK. The flight posted to my account as a regular F-class ticket with 1.5x bonus points, 2x EQM, and 1000 bonus miles for F/J travel. I wasn't sure the reason, whether a mistake made by the Meeting Services agent who processed the upgrade or a quirk in the system.

Earlier this week I flew PHL-SFO, redeeming another BXP1. This time the flight posted normally as a Y-class ticket. No extra EQM or bonus miles for F/J.
