Actually, all major UK banks and building societies make this big deal, since they all decided to get of the fee having been accused of outrageous pricing (and, indeed, price-fixing). The only machines which charge now are the stand-alone machines you get in some shops and similar outlets. (That said, I'm not sure about any charges for holders of non-UK cards.)
