makes sense for you to take all the bags on LHR flight, check in at an airport hotel (served by an airport hotel link bus) (Holiday Inn, Marriot, Ibis, Sheraton and others up scale to meriden), get early check in or leave bags, get the tube into town (buy a 1 day travel card or a family 1 day travel card giving you use of all buses and tubes on the network). If you arrive on time and do all of this you should be in town by 11-30 latest. Your Mum should take the airport express bus to Liverpool Street Station. If her flight is onm time etc she should be there by 11-30 also. Youll need a meeting point. Unglamorous though it is there is a McDonalds at Liverpool Station which is an easy landmark. Thereafter you have all day to do what you want, last tube back to Heathrow is about midnight. Get a good nights sleep and over to the airport for an early check in!!

I am travelling from zurich to london (LHR)along my family due to last minute change in plans my mom could not get the same flight with us so she has to catch the flight from zurich to LCY and we are only 1 1/2 days in london and then we all have to catch the flight from LHR to JFK new york. So here my delimma how can I make this trip hassle free. Where can I stay in hotel (some advice on decent cheap hotel appreciated)perhaps some where in the middle of LHR and LCY where we might catch some city beauty and also have my mom meet us without much trouble mind you that she is old but can do some travelling on her own.Here is our flight detail

my mom arrival on LCY 10:30am on 6th feb (friday)
we all have to catch the same flight from LHR on SAturday 1:20pm
