LOL. After the Chrysler merger and separation I've seen Mercs as being glorified Chryslers. A First Class Lufthansa Porsche to the airplane would be another matter if I was looking for something special on the ground!

I guess I see more value from spending a bit more than 17,500 miles on upgrading a leg to Upper Class than just getting to the airport. But fair point for those living nowhere near a decent public transportation option and having miles to burn.
