Dad takes daughter to London for 48 hours on her 16th birthday.
Arr LHR from ORD on a Fri in February at 6:30 AM.
Depart LHR on Sunday at 10;30AM.
We have not been there before.
From informative past posts it seems that the best plan of attack would be:
1. Make extensive use of The Big Bus.
2. Stay at a hotel on one of its routes...such as the Victoria Thistle.( Try and arrange early checkin!)
3. Ask FT'ers for recommendations as to what couple of areas to concentrate on, given our 2 day limit.
Would it make sense to spend Fiday doing the main attractions around Buckingham Palace and, as someone suggested, Portobello Road and Cambdentown for Sat shopping etc ?
