Indeed, and it's why I don't get too upset when I don't get my F upgrade and I'm sitting in row 6 instead — it's even closer if I'm lucky enough to have nobody in my middle seat. But for bigger people like me (not large, but comfortably over 6' tall) it's not so much the legroom as the width of the F seat and the comfort of not being shoulder-to-shoulder with someone like I am in Y.

It seems DL is at 37-38" of pitch in domestic F, while AA is at 38-40" (save for the A321T) ... so I suppose it wouldn't hurt for AS to go near the top of the pack with what I assume will be 41" after the reconfiguration.

What I'm really excited about is seeing more new cabins — I realize spacing out the seats differently is a smaller deal than ordering new seats, but I've seen more ultra-dated F seats in AS planes than any of my times on AA or DL. Perhaps I'm just unlucky.
