Speaking of adding 5" more seat pitch, why not brighten up the cabin a bit while they're at it?
Anybody here old enough to remember the bright cheerful fabrics that highlighted the First Class cabins aboard Alaska's new 727-290s - back when they were delivered in 1979 and the airline was handing out gold ingots to its passengers?
I think the carpeted wall art on Alaska's jets adds a nice touch - some welcome warmth to the cabin. The row after row of blasé dark bluish-grey seats does lend a touch of depression to the cabin though.
Here Alaska's gone and introduced a bright new exterior livery - I'd like to see them brighten up the First Class cabin a bit as well. Dump the dreary leather and replace it with nicer looking fabric. I like the last one - taken aboard a Royal Air Maroc 747SP thirty years ago.
