Even if they had an agreement, you d be hard pressed to find an AC agent willing to check bags onto a separate ticket on a non alliance airline.
Not true have done it many onto Iberia et al. Seperate tickets and all. Might not with Vueling. Just have a print out of the second ticket so they can add it. Takes a couple of minutes. Bag tracking wont work well though if it is lost.
