It's frustrating, I went on the MyStatus.United.Com web page and this shows clearly that I have earned the upgrades, there is a big green checkmark over the box with 2 Regional and 6 Systemwide upgrades in it. Naturally, I called United back but was again told I needed the $12K PQD, I asked the agent to check with an "expert" and they again confirmed I need the $12K PQD. The agent then agreed their website was wrong :-)

In all my years in business, I have never once seen a better example of a "customer is wrong" attitude. I work in sales, which is why I'm so incredulous. It truly appears that United is committed to driving away customers.

BTW, I also did some checking and it is only US residents that are subjected to the PQD requirement (if you are in the military or a diplomat you are exempt). Also, I learned there are wavers, by using a UA credit card, for everyone except 1K members, yes, it's true. What on earth are they thinking. The more you dig the crazier it gets, again, I'm in sales and I understand incentive programs, this has to be one of the most poorly constructed incentive programs I have ever seen; my comment is completely independent of the fact that there has been a steady erosion of benefits over the past 25 years. Yes, I'm that old :-)
