Help! Hubby and I are going to Ireland for a week (8/29) and then over to London for a week. I've been getting SUCH conflicting information about dress.

Someone says, absolutely no tennis shoes...and that jeans are out...it is VERY formal, etc.

Should hubby bring a suit? We are staying at the Park Lane and they afternoon tea but do you think he should wear a suit in the hotel's tea room (the one where the gold/diamonds guests are allowed access too...not the dining room).

Any info would be greatly appreciated. I want to be comfortable but I don't want to stand out like a sore thumb....at least I am told that I don't want to.
