This is a time when travelers with Global Entry should have their GE card with them since GE members are able to bypass the normal passenger security screening line with it and get the CATSA equivalent of TSA PreCheck. At YVR you'll drop your checked luggage at the baggage screening point and just to the left of the baggage drop point will be the entrance for passenger security screening by CATSA. At that time of the morning it is likely that the line will extend back out into the terminal but you can avoid standing in that line with GE. Enter the area and just inside the entrance on the left you'll notice a sign that directs Aircrew, GE and NEXUS passengers into a line on the left. Show your GE card and boarding pass to the CATSA doc checker.

Once through CATSA passenger security screening you'll proceed directly to the USA CBP Preclearance area to "re-enter" the US. There are both GE and ABP Kiosks.
