The Old Clare is at the Southernmost part of the CBD on Broadway.

Even as a young person I would still choose the Westin and get the suite and club access.

Yes the Old Clare is in atm, but without elite benefits you'll get a small room and I'm not sure what you would do on that side of the city. It's close to the two universities and a new monstrous residential complex called Central Park but other than that there's not much there.
