She's coming in July for a couple of days to visit friends. She didn't specify a price range. Presumably inexpensive. I don't think a woman with a bad back and luggage should be taking the tube. I'm going to try talking her into the Heathrow Express and the Hilton Paddington, if the rates aren't prohibitive.

I moved out of Earl's Court (with both haste and relief) in the 1980s and I have never been back. That's the one place I lived in London over which I have never suffered homesickness.
