Well, I think we have to let the FIS open first to see the results. If a strong partner like QF can use an easier/faster FIS and can get some combined operational support from AA (which can reduce cost), this may benefit even with the lounge still at TBIT (since we have the connector).
I am somewhat stating that AA would need to keep FIS demand rather strong at T4 to make it work (with a full expectation that authorities are going to take some existing staff from TBIT FIS/CB to initially make this happen).
Some people felt similarly on why DL would move to the other side of LAX after T5 improvements. Well, it is a done deal.
