Sounds like you got a great deal! (I stayed for $80 at the Mayfair Inter-Continental back in March.) I don't have an answer for you, but advice is to skip the breakfast there. Seems to me at many hotels of that level it's not typically included in most rates. And there will be many places around the corner where you can get something for much less.
