My point is, why be Gold with these preferences stored in a system and then be given the same hard sell EVERY TIME?
Here's how it goes for me:
Hertz: "Do you want the prepaid fuel option?"
Me: "Nope, I'll bring it back full. I know I need a receipt if I drive less than 75 miles."
Hertz: "OK, thanks, here's your contract."
10 seconds, absolute max. Definitely not "minutes."
