Aviator Red - Called today (5/2) after my annual fee posted 4/29. Called in to first level rep, asked to cancel card due to annual fee, and was transferred to an "account specialist". Once connected to the specialist I again reiterated that I wanted to cancel due to the fee and immediately the specialist offered to waive AF, and added a promo of 5k miles for $1k in spend over 90 days.
FYI no notes appear to transfer over to the account specialist, so don't worry if the first level rep says they can't do anything about the fee. My first level rep said my only recourse was to downgrade to the no fee card which turned out to be false.
