At each stop they will again give notice about the location of the car. Many times Amtrak staff are on the platform directing customers.

Probably just like on the airplanes when they make the announcements about emergency exits, no one (or very few) are listening, but let there be a need to follow those instructions they will be lost.
Two overhead signs are not enough. I like the idea of the seat doilies. Especially for the facing seats, it's right there in your face!
