Would love to see the falls but tickets to IGU are almost $300. Not worth for a day trip.

Rio has cheap tickets in Azul airlines. However, I have 2 main worries..

1. Yet another flight after 11,000 miles of flying... ugh! But what's another 45mins.

2. For my return back to US, I will need to fly from SDU to GRU on the same day as my GRU outbound to JFK. Admittedly, these are shuttle flights and operate every hour. But if there is mechanical and they cannot accommodate me in time, it is going to be a troublesome situation. Being too risk averse here? Otherwise enjoying caipirinha's by the beach seems more relaxing than sitting by the pool in SP.
