Timing between flights? Club food is no additional charge over how you got into the club. Some people (like me) don't like to pay the exorbitant money airport restaurants charge, though I do occasionally when I am traveling for work and company pays for food.
For me, paying $10-$20 to eat passably decent food is well worth it over the misery in the club lounge or plane. Especially easy in domestic airports. Can you even make a real meal from club lounge food?
That would make my life miserable if I had to use club/airplane food as an actual meal with any regularity. The only time I eat airplane food is transpacific.
