Friends just got a 2 stage upgrade Economy to CW on the 275 today.
Is this usual with flight showing as:

Just received an update. Upgraded at Glasgow to Club World. Sent me a picture of their ticket. All fine in Glasgow. In T3 BA lounge and still all fine. Got to boarding and they got shoved back in economy. 3 different reasons given as to why.
Now I know they shouldn't have been upgraded. I questioned it on here clearly but that is very very poor surely.
