Don't look for A321s to do transcons, not as they're being delivered to DL today. They don't have the range of DL's 738s, 739s, or 757s:

DL claimed range

A320 2420 miles
A321 2565 miles
738 2930 miles
739 2870 miles
757D 3393 miles

ATL-SEA 2182 miles
BOS-SEA 2496
BOS-LAX 2611
BOS-SFO 2704

In a domestic config they won't routinely see JFK-LAX/SFO.
